Blogging in the Dark
In a recent article I wrote for the fine newspaper at which I work, I quoted a woman as saying art isn't really anything until it's been seen and critiqued. My question: Am I really blogging? (Not that I want the critique part; I get plenty of that elsewhere). Does this blog really exist?
Of course, other of my philisophical musings include a debate about whether my earrings and necklace clash and just how many different colors I can wear at the same time without being labeled crazy (I'm okay with "eccentric"). Also, if I wear the pie shawl I knit for myself in jellly Rowan Kid Silk Haze every day, will I come to be known as the crazy knitting lady? And why am I so afraid of crazy anyway?
Hmmmmmm.

Es geht immer wieder schlecht
So I have no knitting to show this week as I have engaged in no knitting. It's all about the German. I'm cramming as many "guten tags" into my poor little brain as I can in an attempt to finish my degree. Did I mention it's been 12 years since I last took Deutsch? It's really driving me crazy (shuttelt den Kopf).
Expect to see in a week or so:
1. A second swatch for the Lucky cardigan (my first, using a lovely light yellow Fortissima Cotton is a tad too tight).
2. The beginning of Cozy from Knitty with a lovely light blue Endless Summer Collection Sonata.
3. Something, anything, in the latest addition to my Rowan Kid Silk Haze stash-o-love.

All knit out
I've knit my quota for the weekend, working on not one, not two, not three, but four projects. And then there's the man sweater two-thirds done resting in its little bag in the office. The rest of the in -progress list:
1. Scalloped Aegean Scarf from Exquisite Little Knits.
2. Mohair cardi using a Vogue knitting pattern and my own imagination (one sleeve to go, hurray!).
3. A little bag using a slip stitch pattern and the cable purse idea from Last Minute Knitting Gifts.
4. My own version of the Booga Bag as part of a knitalong with my knitting friend the Jillian-Dollar-baby.
